Benchmarking

ASCA and the Ambulatory Surgery Foundation offer two benchmarking projects and a salary survey to help you run your ASC smoothly and efficiently, all while providing superior patient care.

Outcomes Monitoring Project

With more than 650 participants, ASCA's Outcomes Monitoring Project produces data that can be a valuable asset to the management of any ASC. Providing benchmarks for 41 key indicators, the Outcomes Monitoring Project allows ASCs to compare their specific data with national performance statistics on clinical outcomes, staff indicators, billing performance and much more.

ASC Financial Benchmarking Survey

ASCA collects financial data on topics that range from medical supply expenditures and personal costs to utility costs, accounts receivable outstanding data and claims denial rates. The final report includes data on costs per case, data by CPT code, financial statements, specialty data and much more.

ASC Employee Salary & Benefits Survey

The annual ASC Employee Salary & Benefits Survey collects national and regional data on 17 positions in ASCs. Bonus information is available for the following managerial positions — Medical Director, Administrator, Business Office Manager, Director of Nursing and Materials Manager. The survey also collects national and regional data about the number of employees, operating rooms, procedure rooms, number of years open, case volume and ASC location.
