Kershner Surgical/Procedural Care Winner's study by The Knoxville Ophthalmology ASC, LLC titled “Prevention of Endophthalmitis.” Participants will walk away with a better understanding of how to work through each step of a focus study within their surgery center.

Because ASCs conduct an Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) by identifying and reviewing potential risk factors related to the care, treatment and services they provide and to the environment of care in their own facility, these risks vary significantly depending on the ASC. Participate in this interactive roundtable session to learn how to design an effective ICRA for your own facility and determine how to use the results to decide where to focus your infection surveillance, prevention and control efforts. You will also begin to identify and prioritize the risks of greatest importance in your facility and establish goals for reducing the risk of infection associated with each.
