How to Log In and Access the ASCA 2020 Platform

Visit the virtual conference platform (ascavirtual.ascassociation.org) and select the “Login” button at the top right corner of the screen.

  • If you have previously logged in to ASCA’s websites (including ascassociation.org, ascaconnect.org, ascfocus.org, etc.), please use the same credentials.
  • If you have not previously logged in to ASCA’s websites (including ascassociation.org, ascaconnect.org, ascfocus.org, etc.), please use your email address. Your default password is your last name (case sensitive).

Troubleshooting Login

  1. If you are using a corporate computer, antivirus software or corporate firewalls could be blocking your access to the platform.
    1. Antivirus and firewall software sometimes automatically block certain sites out of minor suspicions, and the web page following our login page might have been blocked causing you to be unable to login.
    2. If you think there might be a problem with your antivirus or firewall, please do the following:
      • Using the same device, try logging in to ASCA Connect.
      • Try using a different device to log in to the virtual conference platform. For example, if you are logging in from a desktop computer, try logging in using your mobile phone
    3. If you are able to successfully log in to ASCA Connect using the same device, OR if you are able to log in to the virtual conference platform using a different device, the issue is likely due to a corporate IT policy. You can provide your IT help desk with the following information:
      • Add "ascavirtual.ascassociation.org", "onlineeventapi.com" and "oepbasicauth.azurewebsites.net" to the trusted websites on your antivirus and firewall settings. This would need to be done for all forms of antivirus and firewall software.
  2. There might be a problem with the web browser's cache and cookies.
    1. Try logging in using an "incognito" feature (which usually ignores all your stored cache and cookies).
    2. If logging in via incognito works, you might need to clear your browser's cache and cookies to be able to log in from a normal window again. Every browser has a different way to clear cache and cookies, so you will have to check how to do this depending on what you are using.
  3. There might be a general problem with the web browser.
    1. It is possible that some settings on your web browser are causing the problem with logging in. If you are using an uncommon browser, it is also possible that it might not be supported by our system. (See below for supported browsers.)
    2. If you think there might be a problem with your browser, you can try logging in using another browser.
    3. If logging in with another browser works, then there are many possible reasons why the browser you normally use isn't currently working. "JavaScript" and "Accept Cookies" should be enabled/allowed. These are the two more common issues for this type of problem.
    4. To make sure Google Chrome is correctly accepting cookies, you can go to "Settings > Privacy and Security > Site Settings > Cookies and site data". The option "Allow sites to save and read cookie data" should be enabled. The options "Keep local data only until you quit your browser" and "Block third party cookies" should be disabled.

Check your browser to ensure that you are using one of the following supported browsers and versions:

  • Google Chrome (preferred): Versions 80 and 81
  • Safari for Mac: Versions 12 and 13
  • Safari for Windows: Versions 4 and 5
  • Mozilla Firefox: Version 74
  • Microsoft Edge: Versions 80 and 81

Please note that Internet Explorer cannot be used to access the virtual conference.

If you need assistance with logging in, please email asc@ascassociation.org as soon as possible.
