Good disinfection and sterilization practices are critical to safe patient care and successful procedures. This program is designed as a comprehensive primer for those with limited reprocessing experience and a thorough, helpful review for those with more experience. The program will cover key aspects of the relevant guidelines, identify key challenges and pitfalls, and suggest solutions to help ensure successful, compliant reprocessing in an engaging and interactive format.

The program is intended for health care professionals responsible for cleaning, disinfection and or sterilization of reusable medical devices and equipment. This includes surgical assistants and technicians, endoscopy nurses and technicians or associates, medical assistants, dental assistants and nurse managers or administrators who supervise reprocessing staff.

Participants will be provided course materials.
