The 2015 Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) requires eligible professionals to report at least nine measures across three domains within the period January 1, 2015 through December 31, 2015. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) recognizes that a limited number of eligible professionals may not be able to identify nine measures across three domains that are applicable to their practice. The purpose of this guidance document is to carefully delineate the measure applicability validation (MAV) processes and requirements as it pertains to PQRS reporting via claims.
