ASCA Urges United Healthcare to Rescind Policy Requiring Prior Authorization for Colonoscopies and GI and Capsule Endoscopies

Citing concerns about unnecessary disease progression and death tied to a United Healthcare prior authorization policy set to take effect June 1, 2023, ASCA sent a letter to UnitedHealth Group Chief Executive Officer Sir Andrew Witty on April 17 urging the insurer to rescind the policy.
