Federal Blunt-Tip Suture Safety Recommendation

The FDA, CDC, NIOSH and OSHA strongly encourage health care professionals to use blunt-tip suture needles as an alternative to standard suture needles when suturing fascia and muscle to decrease the risk of needlestick injury.
