The attached letter was sent to FEMA Administrator Gaynor and senior FEMA staff regarding the efforts of the FEMA COVID-19 Pandemic Supply Chain Stabilization Task Force.

The Task Force released a guidance on March 30 that describes how they will approach sourcing and distribution of PPE, ventilators and other resources requested by states. In an email sent to states, FEMA asked for capacity estimates including the number of usable ventilators available within the state. The attached letter cautions FEMA against blindly diverting resources from ASCs so that ASCs can be available to handle overflow elective procedures.
