Federal Regulatory and Legal Review

2023 Updates to Medicare’s ASC Payment System and CPT Changes Coding

Get an update on the 2023 reimbursement changes to Medicare’s ASC payment system, including procedures added or removed from the final list of those eligible to be performed in an ASC setting. Discuss the American Medical Association’s CPT changes per specialty of new, revised and deleted procedures applicable to ASC facilities that will take effect January 1, 2023 and examine reimbursement potentials and comparisons from the past year.

Come to this session with your urology coding questions and leave with the confidence and information you need to submit the coding your billing office needs to produce clean claims to the insurance carriers. Understanding payer contracts and guidelines is essential for combatting errors and maximizing revenue. Without an understanding of payer guidelines, denials due to incorrect CPTs can occur, and revenue can be missed when supplies, implants or drugs are not billed correctly. Additionally, coding and billing errors can cause AR to appear inflated. Coding for Spinal Fusions and Decompressions in an ASC Coding

Discuss coding, guidelines and policies for cervical and lumbar spinal fusions and decompressions performed in an ASC. This will include anatomy of the spinal column and vertebral segments, the descriptions of various patient positioning and different approaches that can be taken.
